The Neurobiology of Affective and Traumatic Experiences (NATE) Laboratory
at McLean Hospital investigates how traumatic and stressful experiences shape our brains to influence mental health outcomes.

The broad goals of the laboratory are to a) characterize core neural circuitry impacts by stress and related to adverse outcomes, and b) translate these findings into clinically meaningful tools and actions.
